But what hasn’t been said about them??? I saw the steel wheels tour in 1989 and people coined it THEN the steel wheel-chair tour. That was 21 years ago and they are still hitting the road. Then people go on about how bad they look today. I got news for you coin slingers, The rolling stones looked almost as bad back in 1963.
The Stones have Rock n’ Roll in their blood (along with God only knows what else in there) and ain’t giving it up until they’re all pushing daisies. That doesn’t appear to be an option anytime soon. Jagger and Co look like they have a blast doing what they do. They have the key to the city in every corner of the world and Jagger’s worth right now is around 225 million (this seems a bit low for someone of his status. His nemesis from the early days, Paul McCartney, (they’re very good friends today) is worth close to a billion. Well, before the economic down turn. So you’re a hugely successful rock band known all over the world by everyone since the early 60′s, still can kick it out and still write some decent stuff, you can have/get anything and go any place you want, girls… older women still seducing you, enough money to keep you incredibly comfortable and there is something wrong with this because you’re in your mid 60′s??? I don’t get it. Let some photos tell the story as it paves an outline showing us why they’re so blessed…

Then things got really ugly. Going on Dead Head's Jerry Garcia's advice, the Rolling Stones hired the hells angels as security (oh, that was a smart move), payed them in beer (smart move number 2) so that it would hopefully calm things down (oh suuurre, it's foolproof). This all happened after the hells angels beat the shit out of Jefferson Airplane's Marty Balin in mid-song, rendering the lead singer unconscious. Things only escalated from there. They killed a fan who was trying to climb on stage as the Rolling Stones were playing. The so called security claimed the fan had banished a gun. Way to go Jerry. By the way, prior to the violence the grateful dead refused to go out and perform because of the tension between the fans and hells angels.

Over the years for those of you that have taken notice, it's funny to see Ronnie is always trying to talk with Keith during a concert. It almost looks like he is messing with him.

New bandmate? Doesn't look like a rocker. Really short. Kind of looks more like the guys on the top floor at Capital Records.

Thx for the music guys. You are still the Rolling Fucking Stones no matter how old you are. We should have all been blessed with your luck! I'll be there one more time... you will too!
And to bring it home, we’ll wrap up with a few quotes from the industry regarding the rolling stones…
Mick Jigger and the Rolling Stones, on stage for four decades, hold the record for most profitable tour. Their worldwide A Bigger Bang tour ran from 2005 into 2007 and grossed almost $900 million.
The Rolling Stones kicked of their European tour in style by making headline news. The concert which was held in Werchter, Belgium, was played in front of 33,000 fans caused so much interest that it caused a 50km (30 miles) tailback.
Despite the rockers age, they still know how to put on a show with De Morgen, from the Belgium press calling the concert a “triumph.”
Some say the Rolling Stones last tour grossed a billion dollars. And they never really stopped touring. Add that to their 100 million record sales in the US alone – and Mick, Keef, Charlie and Ronnie could rescue the UK if we ever needed it on their own.
The Rolling Stones are the biggest touring act of the decade. According to figures just released by Billboard, the ‘greatest rock and roll band in the world’ played 264 shows over the past 10 years, raking in an astonishing $869.5 million – that’ll keep Keith Richards in Rizla papers for a while!
The Rolling Stones were the most successful live band of the decade as the rockers’ 264 concerts over the past 10 years grossed over $869 million, good enough for Number One atop Billboard’s Top Touring Acts of the 2000s list.

Great background on George Harrison. It’s no surprise John treated him so bad. Lennon always struck me as having an attitude
I wonder what George would have thought of the ROCK BAND video game?
At least it made them remaster all the old recordings.
